Dr. Kenesh Dzhusupov, the project coordinator, has made a monitoring visit to Tajik partner universities – Avicenna Tajik State Medical University and the Khatlon State Medical University on May 12–16, 2025.

The primary objectives of the visit were to evaluate the implementation of the project, review the developed academic modules, inspect the operational capacity of nutrition laboratories, assess financial documentation, and engage in direct dialogue with the local project implementation team.

During the visit, Dr. Dzhusupov became acquainted with the significant achievements made by the universities. He commended the quality of the developed modules, noting that they meet modern educational standards and contribute meaningfully to the enhancement of both teaching capacity and professional development in the field of nutrition and dietetics.

Additionally, Dr. Dzhusupov led a working session with the project teams of ATSMU and KHSMU to evaluate the progress of ongoing activities, address current challenges in project development at partner universities in Tajikistan, and outline key priorities for upcoming phases, including the preparation of the final project report.

At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Dzhusupov expressed high appreciation for the university’s commitment and performance, highlighting the strong coordination, responsible execution of project goals, and the institution’s contribution to advancing nutrition education and research in the region.

This visit marked another step forward in enhancing the implementation of the BERNICA project and strengthening international partnerships and academic capacity of universities.
